The auction started on 27.02.2024 at 12.00 Estonian time and ended on 29.02.2024 at 12.00.
The size of the Saare 1 marine area or innovation area is 88.0 km², and its initial price was 1,320,000 euros. Respect Energy Holding S.A and OÜ Utilitas Wind qualified to participate in the auction, and although they paid a deposit of 26,400 euros, neither of them made a bid at the Saare 1 auction.
The CPTRA did not confirm the results of the Saare 1 auction with the decision of 29.02.2024 and will make a decision not to initiate the superficies licence procedures for all superficies licence applications submitted for the Saare 1 area. After that, no more applications have been submitted for the Saare 1 area, and if desired, the interested offshore wind farm developer can apply for a new superficies licence for the area.
